It's Saturday

It is a beautiful fall Saturday and I am not feeling up to par, so it is a good day for a crock-pot dinner.  Chicken stew sounds like a winner.  Hubby was out taking some pictures a little while ago and got some very nice shots.

We have the pleasure of having horses near, but none of the work.  He belongs to a neighbor.  We probably have a hundred, or more, pictures of him and his stable mate.

What magnificent animals horses are!

It is an interesting date today. 10/20/2010.

I have been trying to learn some of the basics of Photoshop.  Right now I am working with layers and combining several pictures and text on one background.  Every time I think I have it figured out, I try it again, without the notes, and inevitably forget a step.  I am getting better though and my results are improving.

Monday

It is Monday and the weather here is very much a dreary fall day.  The trees are losing their prettily colored leaves.  Thank Heaven we got the netting on the pond yesterday.  Now we need a big wind to take the leaves away.

Emily got her thumb caught in a door at school last week and had an x-ray.  Amy got a call from the Dr's office this morning and the tip if the thumb is broken.  That means no gym or gymnastics for a couple of weeks.  She will be pathetic tonight when she is told, but will forget about it by tomorrow morning and will just deal with it.  For all her complaining and griping about things, when it comes to more serious things, she has a terrific attitude.  This is a picture of her first bone break.  The patheticness lasted for about a half hour.  Don't you just love the pout?

Hi Folks!

Hi Everyone,
Not at all sure what I am doing, but I wanted to try.  It is Sunday morning and we are waiting for E (son) to come and help put the pond to sleep for the winter.  The fish are no longer feeding and the leaves are falling.  We need the net now or spring will be much more work.

This is one of our "pretty fish", as our granddaughter would say.
